In new footage from GameXplain, Link uncovers a Secret Seashell in the grass in Mabe Village. In the original game, collecting 20 of these would give Link a sword upgrade. You can catch the remade seashell at the 1:54 mark.
More interestingly, the video appears to show new map functionality in the game. At the 2:05 mark, you can see that the area on the map is slowly filled in as Link explores more of the island.
By pressing the X button, the player can access the “Memories” menu, which appears to show important dialogue that Link has exchanged with key characters. A “Remember” option can be seen (which is used by pressing the A button), which presumably allows you to revisit these conversations.
