This Minecraft modder has built an incredible playable version of Link’s Awakening

A Minecraft build that’s also a playable version of Link’s Awakening? Yes, please!

Constructed for the last two years by a team of two people, Minecraft builder pickledscones has built an incredible recreation of Koholint Island from Link’s Awakening that is fully explorable and playable. The map, still under construction, features “every character from the game, bosses up to and including Moldorm, fully programmed, remodelled and working.”

Once the team is able to program in the storyline, the map will be available for full release free of charge, though be aware that it does require the Optifine mod to work.

Also in the works? pickledscones is in the process of building a scale reproduction of Hyrule from Ocarina of Time, with progress reported to r/zelda on Reddit.

There is still no timeline for Hyrule to be completed, but at 70% completion, you will soon be able to download the map of Koholint Island for Minecraft.
