The Nintendo Switch has seen multiple re-released Wii U games in the form of a “Definitive” or “Deluxe” version: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pokken Tournament DX, and then there’s the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe releasing in January. These games may have been trapped on an underperforming console, but they were amazing titles that all Nintendo fans should play.

Hyrule Warriors isn’t any different. Originally released in 2014 on the Wii U, this title received the Definitive treatment back in May and has exceeded sales expectations for Western audiences. So much so that Koei Tecmo has increased their income forecast for the second quarter of their fiscal year, the quarter ends in March of 2019. Among others, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a major reason for the increased forecast, although no definite sales figures have been provided.

With all of the Switch port begging happening on social media, it is of no surprise that these amazing Wii U games are getting this treatment so many returning Nintendo fans can experience them for the first time on the Nintendo Switch. How many Deluxe of Definitive games have you picked up on your Switch?
