It has not been uncommon to see Nintendo sprawled across TV, and that is simply because they have pushed hard with their marketing ever since the Switch launched — a stark contrast when compared to the launch of its predecessor, the Wii U. With the Switch flying high, Nintendo has not been resting on its laurels, coming out on top once again as the most seen gaming brand on television for the month of August 2018.

$6.2m was spent on 11 advertising videos which were broadcast a total of 3,200 times, resulting in 395.5m impressions.

$2.6m was allocated as a budget to one particular commercial which showcased Fortnite early on, before displaying mouth-watering games such as Splatoon 2, Octopath Traveller and the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which is set for a December 7 release.

The channels Nintendo included to beam these commercials on included Nick Toons, Comedy Central and Adult Swim, with advertising slots chosen during popular shows such as South Park, The Office, and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Nintendo seems to be everywhere lately, complete with the iconic red branding that has become synonymous with the Switch. They are instigating an abundance of elation thanks to a myriad of top quality titles such as Breath of the Wild and the snappy, versatile hardware that is the Switch console itself.
