Nintendo has announced Tetris 99’s 23rd Maximus Cup, and with it having been less than a month since Skyward Sword HD was released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, it only seems fitting for the upcoming Maximus Cup’s theme to follow suit with a theme to match.
As tweeted by Nintendo of America, “Once you’ve accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring art, music, and Tetrimino design.” Be sure to check out the spoiler video below for some insight into the upcoming gameplay.
Tetris 99’s Skyward Sword HD event will begin on August 6 at 12:00 am PT, and will run through 11:59 pm PT on August 9.
