Devolver Digital has announced on Twitter that adorable adventure game Minit will be launching on Nintendo Switch on August 9.
The game puts you in control of a character who has been cursed with endless lives that only last for one minute. Players must make use of the restricted time to explore, find items and make as much progress as possible, before returning to the game’s starting point when your 60 seconds are up. With each run, players will acquire more equipment and familiarize with the surroundings to progressively make their quick quests as efficient as possible.
The game also has a cute, Link’s Awakening-style aesthetic and has you fight enemies and solve puzzles in a similar fashion to classic Zelda games.
I’ve been wanting to try out this game for a hot minute (ha!), and a Switch release sounds like the perfect excuse to finally do so.
