Starting March 2, 2021, players of miHoYo’s Genshin Impact can access the latest five-star banner for Hu Tao. Along with the banner, Hu Tao will have her own story quest called “Papilio Charontis.” You will need to have completed the second act of the first campaign in order to access it.
Along with Hu Tao, players will be able to potentially get Xiangling, Chongyun, and Xingqui. This is a great chance for players who missed them in the last banner to pick them up.
Hu Tao is a Pyro unit who has an adorable ghost companion. She’s the polearm-wielding director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, hence the aforementioned adorable ghost. She’s the goth girlfriend that was sorely missing from Impact.
Not quite sold on Hu Tao? Check out her character demo from the official Genshin Impact YouTube channel. The video gives you a look at her attack animations, special attacks, and shows a look into her character as a whole. Plus there is an appearance from QiQi near the end, so that’s always a plus.
Unrelated to Hu Tao, keep a lookout for a new Adventurers’ Guild quest starting on March 5 running through March 12. The quest, “Vishaps and Where to Find Them,” will reward players with materials such as Hero’s Wit, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and Primogems.
