In a recent interview with CEO of Inti Creates, Takuya Aizu, Nintendo Force Magazine asked which Nintendo game from any of their franchises he would like to remake with an unlimited budget. He responded with Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Takuya Aizu must be a man of culture.
Although this will likely never happen, it is fun to imagine what a remake of the stellar Zelda II would look like if Inti Creates got a shot at remaking it. With their track record for creating excellent retro-inspired games like Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, and modern versions of old games like the classic Blaster Master, they have certainly proven that they have the chops necessary to pull off a remake of Zelda II.
A game that is rather divisive between fans of the series could have new life breathed into it, and help people to realize that The Adventure of Link is actually one of the best games in the franchise. If a remake did happen, I hope they keep the horrible translation, such as the classic line “I AM ERROR”.
