Young Link once again joins the fray, joining regulars Link and Zelda (who have updated Breath of the Wild costumes), Sheik, Ganondorf and Toon Link as they make up the roster of Zelda characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Switch, just announced during Nintendo Direct for E3 2018.
That makes a total of three Link’s will be available for the first time in a Super Smash Bros. game: Link, Toon Link and Young Link.
Breath of the Wild tunics will be available for Link in the form of Champion’s Tunic and Tunic of the Wild. Link’s Final Smash will feature Ancient Arrows. You will also now be able to attack using double arrows, and can remote detonate Bomb Runes in another huge nod to Breath of the Wild.
Zelda will have a new appearance based on A Link Between Worlds with an elegant and regal look. Her final smash is a sealing Trifoce of Wisdom move.
Ganondorf will wield his big sword and have an Ocarina of Time resemblance. His Final Smash is Demon King Ganon (see below).
Young Link and Toon Link
Young Link will have his famous taunt with Lon Lon Milk, as he did back in Melee on GameCube. Toon Link will also be playable.
Sheik will be a standalone character, separate from Zelda. Midna is in the game as an Assist Trophy, while the Old Man will appear in the Great Plateau Tower stage.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be available for Nintendo Switch on December 7th 2018.
