Far Cry 5 is the modern game of the moment, but it appears that there is a reference to the original Legend of Zelda all the way from 1987, filling your nostalgia goggles with cosy NES memories.
We all love Easter Eggs. A notable one includes the famous pictures on the wall of Mario and company from the Mushroom Kingdom in Hyrule Castle. It was a welcome added experience to meeting Princess Zelda for the first time in Ocarina of Time through the subtlety of a window.
“It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.” is a symbolic utterance from the Legend of Zelda franchise and it seems Ubisoft liked the feeling the sentence invokes. Players can find it within Far Cry 5 on a Post-It note alongside a scribbled sword.
