Recently, many people experienced an issue where recorded playtimes began to reset themselves on Nintendo Switch consoles, leading some to believe their playtime data was lost to the ages. Thankfully, Nintendo of America has commented on the issue via their official Twitter page, reassuring Switch owners that their data isn’t gone and an update that will address the issue is currently in the works. No time frame for the update was given, but players can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that all playtime data will be restored in the near future.

It’s worth mentioning that the reset playtime data in no way impacts saved data stored on the Nintendo Switch, only affecting the menu screen that displays the number of hours played for each title.
