If, like me, you were expecting The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia to join your Zelda book collection in April you might want to re-mark your calendars. According to the product’s Amazon page the old April 24, 2018 release date has been pushed back by almost two months to June 19, 2018.
Notices haven’t yet been emailed to customers who pre-ordered the Encyclopedia, therefore the date isn’t officially confirmed. But there’s a good chance the translation work for 320 pages of Zelda knowledge may be taking longer than expected. The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia promises “…an expansion of the lore touched upon in Hyrule Historia, concept art, screencaps, maps, main characters and how they relate, languages, and much, much more…” as well as an interview with series producer Eiji Aonuma. It certainly sounds like it will be worth the wait!
The Encyclopedia is priced at $39.99, but you can pre-order it on Amazon for the current lower price of $25.48. Let us know how eager you are to complete your trilogy of Zelda knowledge with this third volume.
