Breath of the Wild looks a little different on PC with these new textures

Gamers have managed to get Breath of the Wild running on PC recently through the magic of emulation. This week, a “Clarity FX” pack for the CEMU emulator became available, providing more defined textures, a change in colours and lighting (which are adjustable), and an enhanced draw distance, resulting in Breath of the Wild looking a little different when running on PC.

While impressive, some fans may argue that it distorts the art style and doesn’t quite fit the artistic design of the game, especially with the original art style being specifically designed around the capabilities of the Switch and Wii U.

While Breath of the Wild on PC is impressive, and it’s interesting to see the game through a new lens, we think it belongs at home on the systems it was created for with its original art style. After all, Nintendo fans know well that graphics aren’t everything. We also want to note that emulation is a form of piracy and isn’t supported by Nintendo; nor do we condone it.
