A new Zelda 64 mod combines the world of Ocarina of Time with Super Mario 64, Nintendo gives some major updates for the Nintendo Switch and one of the most impressive Breath of the Wild fan videos from Reddit! Amanda gives all the details in the best way to catch up on all of this week’s important Zelda related news!
Starting off with the big news, Link in Super Mario 64! No, this isn’t just a simple character swap like we’ve seen so many times before. This allows Link to run around and use all of his weapons, just like in Ocarina of Time. You can hook shot to trees and other platforms and use all of the other weapons we have grown to be so familiar with. Even boss fights and other enemies have been modified from their original patterns to be new and unique. This is all thanks to one of my good friends MelonSpeedruns and his team.
Now, for the smaller bits of news. The new Switch update allows for new great controller customization and new profile icons. The Breath of the Wild fan video shows a quick clip of someone shield surfing and ending by jumping on and taming a wild buck that miraculously runs across the same path as Link.
