The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts only recently made its way to international shores, and already Japan has their hands on the next book, The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Encyclopedia. It’s the third book in a set — which also includes Hyrule Historia — released in celebration of Zelda’s 30th anniversary.

The official Legend of Zelda Twitter account tweeted out the cover and three sample pages of the Encyclopedia, and they look like a dream come true for every fan of the franchise who has even a passing interest in the games’ lore and peoples.

Dark Horse Comics localized both Hyrule Historia and Art & Artifacts here in the United States, so no doubt they’ll do the same for this third book — with special editions similarly inevitable, one would think. It’s only a matter of time before such is announced for the Hyrule Encyclopedia. We’ll update you when that wonderful day arrives!

I was going to get Art and Artifacts, but I love the encyclopedia style for the Zelda books! So I’m defiantly getting this one! (Maybe we will Get a timeline placement for BotW too!)

You’ll figure out the timeline placement when you play through the game. It isn’t really a secret.

It’s not exactly obvious either though.
