Nintendo is about to drop the price on a large range of Legend of Zelda titles and downloadable content in the eShop, in a sale that will run for two weeks in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the UK. My Nintendo members in these regions will be able to purchase selected games at 30% off, and a range of 3DS Zelda themes will be 50% off.
A huge range of titles spanning the series’ history will be on sale, including The Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, and A Link Between Worlds. Several Virtual Console titles on both Wii U and 3DS are also on sale, such as The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, and Skyward Sword. All add-on content for Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends is 30% off.
My Nintendo members will also have access to a number of special rewards for the 3DS, including a 30th anniversary theme, and three videos from the 25th anniversary orchestra.
The sale will run from 1:00am on January 27 until 10:59am (AEDT) on February 10, 2017 in Australia and New Zealand, and from January 26 until 23:59 (UK time) on February 9 in the UK and Europe. The offerings are slightly different between regions, so visit the Nintendo Australia and Nintendo Europe websites for more detail about the sales. There is currently no word on whether Nintendo of America will run a similar promotion.
These sales are the perfect opportunity to relive or even discover some of the games that make up Zelda‘s 30-year legacy while we eagerly await for Breath of the Wild. And if thinking about these games has you reminiscing about Zelda, consider sharing a memory with us and go into the running to win some beautiful 30th anniversary artwork.
Update: Series producer Eiji Aonuma addresses fans in Europe in a new video by Nintendo UK, informing us of the sale. [-Reece]
