Recently a Child’s Product Certificate has surfaced online on the CPSIA website, issued to Nintendo of America. According to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) created in 2008, any product intended for children must pass certain specifications to ensure the safety of the product. It is required to receive the certification in order to sell in the US market.

The certificate was filed on June 6, 2016.

As of late, whenever Nintendo would receive a new certificate of this nature, an Amiibo announcement followed shortly thereafter. With E3 coming up, the time is never better to announce new additions to the toy line.

Should this certificate mean more new Amiibo in the near future, it is very possible that they may be related to the new Zelda title.  Other possibilities are new Pokémon figures to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary, or even that the figures will be based off of another game that has yet to be announced.  What do you think?
