Update: Although the initial email was confusing, this offer will only be extended to those who buy the New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador bundle through Nintendo’s UK store. We apologize for the confusion and the article has been updated to reflect this information.

Are you in the UK and therefore unable to purchase the special edition of Majora’s Mask 3D that includes the Skull Kid figurine? If you have bought the New Nintendo 3DS through the UK Ambassador program, you’re in luck! Thanks to a post from NeoGAF user dc89, it appears a New 3DS promotion will offer a free Skull Kid figurine to anyone who bought a New Nintendo 3DS from UK’s Nintendo store and who buys a copy of Majora’s Mask 3D.

This is a rather nice surprise, especially if you were looking for a way to get the Skull Kid figurine and got the Ambassador edition of the New Nintendo 3DS. Hopefully this promotion makes it’s way to North America, as many have wanted the figurine since its announcement earlier this year. Be sure to cash in on this free offer as soon as possible, as quantities will be limited and are on a first-come first-served basis.

It looks like those in North America have “stumbled upon a terrible fate,” but to those in the UK, enjoy your free offer!

Seriously, how hard can it be to manufacture enough of these? They all probably have “made in China” stamped on the bottom anyway.

Just like everything Nintendo make, they intentionally dont make enough so people think they are ‘rare’. Like discontinuing amiibo’s a few days after they come out. How dumb do they think we are?… Still getting one though.

Did Nintendo officially discontinue some amiibo’s? From what I heard there were just delays in production and shipping rather than discontinuation.

Also aren’t these figurines limited editions or something similar? If that was the case then I expect them to only make a certain amount, even if I personally don’t like the idea of limited time products because of price scaling.

supposedly didn’t officially stop, just like the GameCube adapter is still in production even though no stores have any!

They all went to Apex lol, but seriously you should have seen how many Adapters Nintendo gave them.

I live in the US… The salt is real.

Ugh, the $300 I spent for the pre-order reserve is looking more and more like it may have been a waste, as it may end up being more common than us insane buyers first thought…

    • jAquaD

Or maybe it became common only AFTER you bought it, because Nintendo likes to spite you.
