Many fans are excited to play Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the first canon Zelda game starring the Princess herself. During a Nintendo Direct, a trailer for the game was shown off for the first time along with a new golden Triforce themed Switch Lite. Both items are set to be released in stores September 26, 2024, but even though the date is close, there’s still time to get ahead of the line and snag a preorder bonus. No worries, gamers, we get it. We’ve compiled the last update on our merchant list with preorders, so check it out now while you still can.
UPDATES as of 09/24/24: The Hyrule Nintendo Switch Lite is now available to preorder at most retailers. We are seeing the final push for Echoes of Wisdom themed merchandise, which is covered in a different article. Preorder bonus bundles are finalized at several merchants. Ebay listings are questionable at best and no longer recommended. Some preorders may be out of stock, but there is plenty more to go around so customers don’t need to be concerned about scalpers for the most part. There’s a strong indication that Walmart and Amazon U.S. are not retailers for this Zelda merchandise.

Echoes of Wisdom
- Nintendo Website – Preorder links are now live for USA customers for $59.99 USD as well as the Nintendo Europe eShop for 49.99 euros, Nintendo Canada for $79.99 CAD, Nintendo Australia, and other regions. Keep in mind that eShop’s preorders are digital copies, which are great for midnight release conveniences but you might want a physical copy too if you prefer that option. The United Kingdom My Nintendo Store is offering preorder bonus options of a Princess Zelda keyring and a wall poster.
- UPDATED Amazon Australia – The online retail giant has a physical preorder listing but it is still sold out in Australia. Weirdly enough, no other Amazon stores appear to have listings of the game with the exception of this international version by Mirage Imports. Beware of third party sellers.
- UPDATED Best Buy Website – Echoes of Wisdom is now live for preorder for $59.99 USD. The preorder bonus is an acrylic pop up stand. Best Buy is recently promoting a 15% off discount on select Astro headsets with the purchase of any video game including Echoes of Wisdom on top of the bonus stand, so if you’re in need of one it may be worthwhile to check it out.
- GameStop – The link for the game is now live for $59.99 USD. A preorder bonus of a fabric poster is advertised. Check with your local GameStop store for preorder bonus specifications, as it might be available only for store pickup.
- UPDATED ebay – Lots of sketchy listings from questionable sources are popping out of the woodwork as we get closer to release date so we no longer recommend buying from ebay.
- UPDATED Play Asia – The gamer’s longstanding merchant of choice has Echoes on a $5 preorder sale for $54.99 USD. It’s available for the US, the UK, and Japan. If the coupon still works, you could also get it for $42.74 with the coupon code SAVE5 at checkout to receive an English region free version of the game.
- PNP Games – Canadian players can now preorder Echoes of Wisdom for $79.99 CAD with free shipping.
- UPDATED Game UK – Echoes is available for preorder in the UK for 49.99 euros, which is on sale from 59.99 euros. It also comes with a fun preorder bonus that is a keychain of Princess Zelda.
- UPDATED Target Website – Customers can preorder Echoes of Wisdom at Target in store and online for $59.99 USD. They are recently promoting a free “Mystery Collector’s Puzzle” in their weekly ad that comes with the game if you buy it in-store. We don’t know what the puzzle looks like as there is no picture of it. It’s not entirely clear if customers can claim the puzzle with a preorder or after-release purchase of the game, so it’s probably best to ask your local Target store for details.
- Video Game Heaven – Preorders are live and will be in-store pickup on release day. Sezzle payment plans are available at checkout, which is nice if you’re on a tight budget.
- VGP – Another Canadian retailer has joined the roster list where you can preorder Echoes of Wisdom for $79.99 CAD and free shipping.
- UPDATED Walmart.com – Even now there are still no listings for Echoes of Wisdom on Walmart. It’s unlikely they ever will be a merchant for the game at this point, so you might as well look elsewhere.
Nintendo Switch Lite
- UPDATED UK Game, Curry’s & The Game Collection – United Kingdom customers can also preorder the Switch Lite for 209.99 euros with a free one-year subscription to Nintendo Switch Online at both UK Game and The Game Collection.
- UPDATED My Nintendo Store – Weirdly enough, My Nintendo Store UK is the only region online store where you can preorder the Hyrule Switch Lite. Only one Switch Lite is allowed per customer. Other regions have the listing but they are not for sale until launch date as it is grayed out until then.
- UPDATED Amazon – Nintendo is selling its Switch Lite on its store in Amazon’s Australia and UK sites. Australia is still sold out, but Amazon UK has a fresh batch of preorders. Beware of third party sellers.
- UPDATED Best Buy Website – Preorders are now live for the Hyrule Switch Lite, including a bundle package of the Switch Lite and a hard copy of Echoes of Wisdom for $269.98.
- UPDATED GameStop – Preorders are currently sold out.
- UPDATED Play Asia – Preorders are currently sold out. There are no restocks announced at this time. Listings are still up for the US, the UK, Europe, and Japan.
- Smyths Toys – The UK retailer has it listed for preorder for $209.99 euros with a free one-year subscription to Nintendo Switch Online.
- Target Website – Preorders are currently live.
- UPDATED Walmart.com – Even after all this time no preorders are live. At this point, it’s unlikely they ever will be.
