Nintendo of America have just announced that the Link Amiibo toy can be used in Hyrule Warriors. There are no further details as to what purpose it will serve, or if the Princess Zelda figure will also receive support, but Nintendo of America advises us to “stay tuned” on Twitter.

Perhaps support of the Amiibo toy will provide an easy option to bring your customised warrior, with your personally selected weapons and skills, to a friend’s house for use on their copy of Hyrule Warriors. It sure would be fun to join a co-op game while also making personal progress by levelling up your own character.
