Zelda director Eiji Aonuma, via Miiverse, has announced that Epona will be a usable “weapon” in the first DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors. The pack, titled the “Master Quest Pack”, will be the first of four coming to the Wii U exclusive on October 16.

Aonuma spoke about playing as Epona in his Miiverse post. “I already had a chance to try out Epona in the game,” he says. “By riding Epona, I was able to blow heards of enemies away and gallop swiftly through the fields, and I had a lot of fun trying out this re-imagined version of her in Hyrule Warriors.

“The DLC will include […] new scenarios and costumes”

Epona looks to be an amazing edition to the title, and will most assuredly add even more fun to wiping out hordes of enemies. After speaking on Epona, Aonuma went on to tease that “the DLC will include other content as well, like new scenarios and costumes that will further expand your gaming experience.”

The upcoming DLC season pass is available for $19.99, and will now allow players to use the Dark Link skin. Be sure to pick up your copy of Hyrule Warriors!

I hope they make it a bit harder! It gets kinda boring when you’re running with 50+ guys on your team into a unknown amount of enemies, and you’re the only one fighting x)

Did you try Hero Mode yet?

      • Simon Sølverød

No, haven’t unlocked it yet. If it needs to be. I’m on hard mode, and the only “challenging” enemies are the mini bosses ‘n some of the bosses. But if the hero mode makes the regular troops fight more, then I can’t wait. ‘Cause it’s kinda boring now :p
