French advertisement for Super Smash Bros. Wii U shows November 21 release date

We’ve been clinging onto that “winter 2014” release window for Super Smash Bros. Wii U for a long time now — and strangely, Nintendo still haven’t given us anything more specific so we can count down the days until the Wii U’s blockbuster launch. While Nintendo have still yet to make the official announcement, an advertisement on Puissance Nintendo may have revealed the long awaited date early.

The commercial says that the title will be coming to Europe on November 21, as spotted by NeoGAF user L~A. The date seems plausible enough as a worldwide release, setting itself up just in time for the holidays.

We’ll keep you updated if Nintendo respond to this or announce a release date themselves, however. If this date is real then it’ll be a big money-maker for Nintendo, coinciding with the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
