The Song of Storms is one of the most recognizable tunes in Zelda history, played with gusto and intensity by Guru-Guru inside the Kakariko Village windmill. If you’ve ever considered cosplaying as Guru-Guru, this music box made by CuriosityProps is a must have addition to your attire. This fully functional box is decorated almost identically to the one in the game by an airbrush artist, and measures 6 by 6 inches.

The inside of the box contains a small music strip that you can play with a turn of the crank at any speed you wish. The box ships worldwide, and costs $90. Each box is custom made, so please allow at least 2 weeks before your item is ready to ship. Hit the jump for more photos and a video! Note that the video does not show the red crank that you will receive with purchase.

They messed up the artwork and textures, tho; I’m just nitpicking here, but I think the ingame music box was supposed to be made of / look like bronze or copper (or something alike) not wood.

It’s hard to tell given the graphical prowess of the N64. But regardless, it’s still a pretty amazing accomplishment!

There’s definitely some artistic license being taken, but the quality of it more than makes up for that. If I had the money to blow, I would and I’m almost always a strictly officially licensed Zelda collector. My exceptions are finely crafted artisan products like this.

  • Hello! This item is no longer available, we have a new version that plays the same song but a slightly different look. It would be great if you could replace the link, thank you.
