Hey, Universe! Welcome to another jaw-dropping, earth-shaking, mind blowing edition of Music Monday, on Wednesday! Today, we shine the Music Wednesday spotlight on one of my favourite places in the Zelda universe, and an amazing Zelda melody that is just pretty darn awesome.
Now, if you’ve been following Music Monday for a while, you’ll know I have a thing for Skyward Sword’s music, in particular, the location themes. I love Faron Woods. I also love Faron Woods when a crazy-blue-dragon-guy floods it and makes me swim around collecting tadpole that sing. It’s just all around fun times in the Faron Woods. First, there’s that amazing Zelda melody I was talking about earlier, that rocks, really, really hard. After that, to calm you down after the sheer awesomeness of the Zelda melody, the beautiful “Flooded Faron Woods Theme”. For both of those, hit the jump!
YouTuber SimonLoveridge is amazing, and that would be putting things mildly. I can’t even begin to imagine how much work he put into that video, but I’m sure glad he did. Sir, I salute you, and thank you for making such a fantastic medley!
I never get tired of the “Faron Woods Theme” but the flooded version is just so relaxing. I really don’t think the “Faron Woods Theme” gets enough credit in Skyward Sword for being so pretty. I really like the way they orchestrated the “Flooded Faron Woods Theme” especially with the marimba. It almost sounds a bit like the Faron Wood’s Silent Realm, with a calamity in it.
Thanks for reading, and make sure to check back next week for another Music Monday, on Monday!
