We here at Zelda Universe have an extensive music section, complete with a wide array of Zelda soundtracks from most every game in the series – except, of course, the recently released Spirit Tracks.

Well, that’s all about to change on February 1st. We’re putting the finishing touches on a polished, quality-checked soundtrack release for Spirit Tracks that nobody else has. Each track was ripped straight from the game, edited and tagged by us. We made album artwork and carefully named and sorted each track. We’re going to be releasing this thing everywhere – on here, on BitTorrent, even on our brand new YouTube channel.

The soundtrack contains over 140 titles from Spirit Tracks – and we can’t wait to get this thing out the door. See you all on the 1st with your headphones!

Yeah, but this one is complete with every song from the game. Including all the Lokomo songs(which aren't available anywhere else). Worked hard to fix them up for the release. So did Jason. Hopefully everyone would be excited for this release =D

  • I have a near complete rip that includes the Lokomo songs. I think the only thing that my rip is missing is the slower versions of the realm overworld theme. It'd be nice to have all three versions of the song woven together nicely. Hopefully you'll have that in your soundtrack release.

    • Yup, just saying that 'nobody else has' is misleading in the original post since they are floating around all over the place.

      • It's meant to be that nobody else has a polished, quality-checked release. Not that nobody else has tracks from Spirit Tracks. But, well, nobody else DOES have these tracks – they're not floating around.

You'll see when it's released. Silver-hero and I have done a lot of work and the page on Hyrule.net is NOT what we're talking about here.

It's amazing to see the stark difference in number of songs between Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass.

    I mean 140 vs. 32.

I mean I know Phantom Hourglass has some musical presence but it pales in comparison to Spirit Tracks. I'm excited for this!

Dear the Goddesses of Zelda Universe, I have only one request. Please make it a decent quality. None of this 128kbs nonsense. If possible, offer a high quality and a low quality version, that way you can let most people download the smaller version, and save the high quality version for those who want it.

    • It's all VBR Quality 0, encoded with LAME 3.99 in Joint Stereo. I can't tell you how much of a stickler I am about my own soundtrack releases – don't you worry about the quality.

BONUS. Thank you, it's great to have someone as nitpicky as I am actually making the soundtracks. I honestly don't know how so many half-assed soundtracks get released when it takes a fair amount of effort to do so. If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing right. Looking forward to it!

Also, sorry for the double comment, but I just checked again and for some reason I am unable to download from your music section. I attempted to do so and got a broken forum page with no download link. This happened last time I tried as well. I'm using Firefox, not sure what's going on. I used to get the broken forum page before but there were download links previously, but not anymore.

In response to what TheMaverick said, Phantom Hourglass actually has a lot more tracks than just 32. I have a complete 93 track soundtrack. They are all named and there are no repeats. It took a while for me to acquire and organize it all but it was worth it instead of missing 61 tracks like this site is.

  • Zelda in my Pocket has one: http://www.zeldainmypocket.com/downloads.html

It still needs some polishing, though. 😛

  • OK guys, Feb 1st is here as I wait with bated breath for a link to download yours at (I do have BitTorrent, IDC if I get it through there or Firefox).
Cross that first part out, I found it in 2 seconds by looking at the soundtracks page, didn't delete so this has something to say other then scattered replies.

@ Kai: I loved ST from start to finish and beyond.

@ triforce4ever: I never bothered with PH's OST, instead going on what the ZREO Team does with PH. Therefore not caring about how many tracks (lol, "tracks") PH has.

@ Jason & Violet: I only care if the song quality is equal (or greater) then where it originated. I have a decent collection of VGM (Video Game Music for those of who don't know; A.K.A. OSTs) and I have a few songs close to 8-bit.

With songs that have variations (Traveling and especially Tower of the Spirits) did you have each level/version? With TotS, you don't need the first in the stairway, its all ambient wind, but after that it gets better.
