Tears of the Kingdom: The ‘Potential Princess Sightings!’ side adventure
Table of Contents
Tears of the Kingdom has many side quests that will take you to each corner of post-Upheaval Hyrule. During your travels, you will inevitably come across people reading newspapers and talking about The Lucky Clover Gazette, particularly during a stay at one of the country’s many stables.
The introduction of the newspaper quests builds on the backstory of an investigative journalist and author named Traysi, a character first introduced in Breath of the Wild. No longer a lone journalist, Traysi is now the editor-in-chief of her very own newspaper, The Lucky Clover Gazette.
Although it may initially seem like the Gazette is a small detail in the wider story of Tears of the Kingdom, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
The newspaper’s inclusion in the game comes with its own series of side quests that will take you all over Hyrule to find out where the missing Princess has gone. Traysi believes that you and Penn may be able to glean some new information on her whereabouts from visiting Hyrule’s stables and interviewing its patrons.

How to Start the “Potential Princess Sightings!” Side Adventure
You can begin the “Potential Princess Sightings!” adventure very early on in the game. The only criteria you need to meet in to begin the quest is to meet Penn, a Rito journalist who works under Traysi. You can first find him standing outside the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower after you activate it. Penn will proudly tell you that he’s a journalist writing about the first activated Skyview Tower for The Lucky Clover Gazette, adding that the newspaper is currently very short-staffed. Before he leaves, Penn will suggest that you travel to the Gazette’s base in what used to be the Rito stable in Hebra to apply to be a journalist.
From Lookout Landing, you must travel northwest to the Hebra region. If you’re in the early stages of the game, the best route to get here is via the Tabantha Great Bridge on Hyrule Ridge.
The coordinates of the Gazettes headquarters are -3254, 1763, 0119.

When you enter the building, you’ll find Traysi pouring over a map of Hyrule with Penn standing beside her. Instead of talking to Traysi, approach Penn instead. He will recognize you from Lookout Landing and admit his surprise that you managed to travel to their headquarters. Eventually, your conversation will catch Traysi’s attention and, when she turns around to tell Penn off for disrupting her, she’ll recognize you and shoe the Rito out. After you fill her in on what has happened, she’ll hire you as a partner for Penn to dig up as much about the missing Princess as possible.
The “Potential Princess Sighting!” side adventure splinters into 12 smaller side adventures that each starts at one of Hyrule’s stables. The quests can be done in any order, but if you’re unsure of where to go next, ask Traysi where you can find Penn. She will point you in the direction of the stable he’s currently investigating.
