Link might just end up as an Animal Crossing museum exhibit in this new Smash Wii U screenshot

It seems the Animal Crossing Villager has just achieved what Ganondorf, Vaati, Ghirahim and many more have failed to accomplish: outsmart and capture the hero of Hyrule. In today’s screenshot from the official Super Smash Bros website‘s daily updates, an image from the Wii U version of the upcoming brawler shows the Villager’s bug net move in action. Poor Link appears trapped inside it–I wonder what Blathers would have to say about this particular catch?

According to series director Masahiro Sakurai on Miiverse, this is actually the Villager’s grab move rather than just a standard attack–it’s similar to Link’s Clawshot and Samus’ grappling beam. Certainly an interesting change from the usual hand-grab used by the majority of the roster. Anyone else looking forward to playing as this psycho?
