A talented fan by the name of edlothian on X and other social media platforms has been spotted creating beautiful dioramas of various areas, objects and scenes from The Legend of Zelda series with remarkable accuracy.
His most recently shared diorama depicts the Kokiri Bridge from Ocarina of Time, specifically the scene where Saria gives Link her ocarina before he leaves his childhood home in the forest. The textures and colors bring it to life with a whole new appreciation for this bittersweet moment.
Past projects of his include the Fire Temple and outside of Hyrule Castle where Talon is sleeping from Ocarina of Time, Clock Town from Majora’s Mask, and even the beginning scene of Echoes of Wisdom where Zelda is trapped in a crystal. Each scene is lovingly created with a sense of nostalgia. You can catch a glimpse of how he creates Talon at the Castle below.
As for materials, the characters are expertly sculpted using extruded polystyrene and clay. Some other elements like Princess Zelda’s crystal in Echoes of Wisdom were created using epoxy resin. Each diorama is carefully handcrafted, making each and every intricate detail all the more impressive!
A few other amazing projects of his involve creating every single mask and The Great Fairy’s Sword from Majora’s Mask and a Wind Waker display with the Earth God’s Lyric song inscribed on the slab.
It’s always incredible seeing the wonderful creations that Zelda fans can come up with. If you’d like to view more of his more work, check edlothian out on X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and even Reddit. Thanks for sharing your work with the fandom, edlothian!
