Can you believe the release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is only two weeks away? There’s still time to secure your copy with the Zelda Universe preorder guide. Surprisingly, not a lot of preorder bonuses are currently announced for the game at the time of this writing. But if you’ve been paying attention to the Wild Era timeline, you can still benefit from these in-game bonuses and features that are available after release day.
Nintendo confirmed that players who have saved data from playing Tears of the Kingdom will receive a High Guard’s Sword weapon when they play Age of Imprisonment. Players who have saved data from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will instead receive the High Guard’s Claymore weapon. If you have save data from both games, you will receive both weapons in Age of Imprisonment. Curiously, we also get a tiny story clue with this bit of information. Both weapons will be unlockable after you clear the Howling Tempest mission in Age of Imprisonment. Now, at what point in the game could this be?
On a separate note, it’s worthwhile to point out that the two-player split screen co-op feature is making a comeback in Age of Imprisonment. The game will also support the convenience of GameShare, an exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 multiplayer feature that allows an extra friend or family member to wreck Hyrulean carnage along with you on a separate Switch or Switch 2 device without the expense of a second game copy.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is set to release worldwide on November 6, 2025.
