Nintendo hasn’t shyed away from making live-action commercials that feature animated segments and even utilizing puppets for their ads. While some of their commercials were great, others weren’t. This creativity has led one animator and Zelda fan in particular, Capsyst Animations, to turn the artwork from a Zelda II instruction booklet into a full-blown animated commercial. The art was used as the foundation for a “reimagining” of what a commercial specifically for Zelda II could’ve looked like. In the description of the YouTube video, Capsyst Animations explains what motivated them to make the Zelda II commercial.
“I always enjoyed the illustrations at the beginning of the NES manual as a kid, and it saddened me to find out these weren’t actually part of a real animated promotion for the game.
