Nintendo announced today that they’re putting out a new mobile app, appropriately named Nintendo Today! This new app is meant to serve as a sort of daily “Nintendo Direct” sent straight to your phone. It releases today for free, only requiring a Nintendo account to use.
The app features customizable themes centered around various Nintendo games, like Animal Crossing and Pikmin. Users will receive daily content, from news to comics and more. After the Switch 2 presentation next week, it will also be a source of details for Nintendo’s next console.
It seems like a great way to drip feed content to fans. The calendar will include important Nintendo dates like game releases and direct presentations. In a future update, you’ll also be able to sync it to your other calendar apps, according to the official press release. There’s also a widget to put the calendar on your phone’s home page.
