At the Thailand Game Show 2024, Nintendo recently announced that they are opening a physical store with the event’s main sponsor Synnex. Expanding their retail footprint comes as no surprise since Nintendo has shared their plans to open up another store in San Francisco in 2025 and has proceeded to have pop-up stores across the globe in locations such as Singapore and Seoul.
This is exciting news following the closure of their previous online store in 2023 after their partner, JD Central, shut down. Reestablishing business operations in Southeast Asia opens up the opportunity to secure a unique physical store experience that many brands are lacking in today’s economy. Even with the convenience of a few clicks and fast shipping, some people still prefer the instant gratification of visiting a store instead of ordering online.
The store is set to open at the popular Siam Paragon shopping center in Bangkok sometime in November 2024.
