The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 LEGO set released today, September 1, 2024. This set is the first-ever based on the Legend of Zelda series. Specifically, and as explained by its name, it is based on both the Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild games.
This set’s main feature is the option to create two different iterations of the Great Deku Tree. Fans will be able to build either the version of him from Ocarina of Time or the latest one from Breath of the Wild (and Tears of the Kingdom).
Regardless of which version a fan will choose to build, they will find a plethora of details and references to the respective game. For example, the Ocarina of Time version of the Great Deku Tree includes builds of the Deku Tree Sprout, a Skulltula, and Link’s Kokiri Forest home. And the Breath of the Wild version features multiple builds of Koroks, including Hetsu, and the pedestal where Link draws the Master Sword.
The set also includes new LEGO elements based on the games, including four new minfigures. The minifigures included are Princess Zelda and Link from Breath of the Wild and the young and adult versions of Link from Ocarina of Time. New pieces include but are not limited to a molded Ocarina of Time, Master Sword, and Hylian Shield.
