Once upon a time in the faraway land of Hyrule, there was a beautiful princess named Zelda. After a magical curse had been placed on her ancestor, Princess Zelda the First, her country began to decline into a state of chaos. She, like the princesses before her, wielded the Triforce of Wisdom to keep it safe from those meaning to take it. Though the state of the kingdom continued to deteriorate, the Triforce remained safe through the tales of the Triforce of Courage, and the original Princess Zelda was lost to time.
At last, the day the rulers of Hyrule had feared had come to fruition. The Demon King Ganon had begun his invasion and scattered his monsters all across the land. He invaded Hyrule and stole the Triforce of Power. Before he could take the Triforce of Wisdom as well, Princess Zelda split the Triforce into eight fragments and scattered them across the land. Angered, the Demon King took Zelda as his prisoner, but not before she was able to relay a message to her nursemaid, Impa.

“Seek out the one with the courage to defeat the Demon King!” she commanded before being taken into the custody of Ganon. She was locked away in a horrid dungeon, left there behind a wall of flames, hoping and praying that the hero would come soon.
After Link, the chosen hero, had conquered the eight labyrinthine dungeons of the land and collected each shard that Zelda had hidden away, he was finally able to face and defeat the Demon King. With a swipe of his sword, the flames keeping her hostage were extinguished, and at last, Zelda was freed.
“Thank you, Link. You are the hero of Hyrule.” she proclaims. Finally, peace returned to Hyrule, and they lived happily ever after.
Until the return of Ganon, of course.

The end.
