There is plenty more Zelda merchandise out there, but be wary. A few words to the wise about online shopping common sense: You’ll want to be certain to check the description of each item before you buy, even from big name sellers. Big box retailers sometimes supplement their inventory with third-party sellers that are sketchy. It’s possible for games that are sold at unusually low prices to actually be regional copies that are different than the ones you have registered your Nintendo console to. Playing a game that is a different region than your system’s could subject it to region lock (unless it’s a Switch game, in most cases.) Worse, if the item is not officially licensed from Nintendo, it could be a bootleg that corrupts your system altogether. Simply put, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. (And your fun Hyrulean holiday would undoubtedly be ruined faster than Ganondorf can ruin Link’s birthday.)
On a lighter note, Nintendo recently announced from their Quarter 3 report that Tears of the Kingdom has already sold a whopping 19.5 million units, which is already two-thirds the sales of Breath of the Wild’s at 31.15 million. That’s more than Ocarina of Time and Ocarina of Time 3DS’s combined 14.04 million, and 10.02 million for Twilight Princess on the Gamecube, Wii and Wii U versions. Who knows what those numbers will look like after the holiday season is said and done. For now, you’ll want to make sure to stock up on everything you need for those Zelda fans on your holiday gift list this year.
