If you’re on the hunt for some serious Zelda inspiration without running into Tears of the Kingdom spoilers, we’re pleased to inform you that the complete fan music album for The Wind Waker by ZREO: Second Quest is now available! This gorgeous album, called Fair Winds and Following Seas, was made in collaboration with 29 musicians around the world and the classically trained female string quartet ATLYS. This quartet quickly grew during the pandemic and is now an ambassador for Shar Music and the Swiss audio teaching company Schertler. You can learn more about ATLYS here.
Each of the album songs can be sampled in their entirety before purchasing on Bandcamp, but the orchestrations are so good it won’t be long before you want to buy. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways you can do that. The digital album is $15 USD, and there is a physical CD available for $28 USD with a beautiful Wind Waker themed designed pamphlet inside. You can also purchase each individual song for a donation of $1.00 USD or more through Bandcamp. They even managed to produce a vinyl record! It’s currently sold out, but you never know when more will become available.

Being a Wind Waker fan, I took a test drive of the songs for myself, and from “The Great Sea” to “Farewell Hyrule King,” I can assure you that each dynamic arrangement is designed to rope you into the Hero of Winds’ adventure in nostalgic and surprising ways. You definitely won’t want to put the headphones down after listening to them! ZREO: Second Quest’s description on Bandcamp reads, “Running just under an hour, Fair Winds & Following Seas feat ATLYS takes the listener from the start of the game through to its bittersweet ending. We hope you’ll enjoy the voyage on memory’s tides as you relive the adventure through our new arrangements by Ari Barack Fisher, Samuel Ferrara, and our four guest composers: Allison Dettloff; Jiyeon Julie Lee; Andrew Vogt; and Victor Hugo Morales.”
