It’s great to see the Nintendo Switch Online services being expanded upon, this time with Game Boy games for the standard tier and Game Boy Advance games for the Expansion Pass. Both services and a stock of games will be available later today.
The highlighted Zelda games coming out later today with this service include Link’s Awakening DX and The Minish Cap. Both Oracle titles are slated to come later this year. The service will allow you to play all games in local and online multiplayer. Game Boy specific games can be played in their famous green tint, the monochrome Game Boy Pocket tint, and the Game Boy Color tint. Check out our Link’s Awakening guide page here! We also keep a Minish Cap guide handy just for you.
Other Game Boy Games included are:
- Tetris
- Super Mario Land 2 – 6 Golden Coins
- Gargoyle’s Quest
- Game and Watch Gallery 3
- Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (WHAT)
- Metroid II: Return of Samus
- Wario Land 3
- Kirby’s Dream Land
In the future, we can also look forward to Pokemon The Card Game and Kirby’s Tilt ‘n’ Tumble.

Other GBA faves available today are:
- Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (includes e-reader levels!)
- WarioWare Inc.: Mega Microgame$
- Kuru Kuru Kururin
- Mario Kart: Super Circuit
- Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
In the future we’ll see Metroid Fusion, Kirby and The Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem GBA, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, and Golden Sun. There are some weird omissions of prequels in there, but it’s easy to assume that they wanted to hit higher marks first. Super Mario Land 1 is great, but 2 is incredible.
