2023 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for the video game industry, but no game is on the minds of Nintendo fans more than The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s Breath of the Wild was recognized for that excitement at last night’s Game Awards, where it took home the honor of Most Anticipated game.
This Game Awards marked the third year in a row where Tears of the Kingdom was nominated in the category, and the first year that it finally nabbed the award, winning out over Final Fantasy XVI, Hogwarts Legacy, Starfield, and Resident Evil 4.
With the game’s title being revealed this past September and the May 12th, 2023 release date fast approaching, the hype is truly on for the next thrilling adventure in The Legend of Zelda.
