Collecting rare Zelda items is my favorite past-time! I love scoring a rare find on Ebay and it’s always exciting when loved ones support your collection during Christmas and birthdays. My ultimate goal is to have the largest Zelda collection in the world, however, that title is already obtained by Norwegian resident, Anne Martha Harnes. It’s always good to dream, though there’s always been one extremely rare Zelda item that’s caught my eye for a very long time.
The Zelda themed Jordans are truly the holy grail of any Zelda collection. While I couldn’t quite dig up their release year in my research, I know they existed in 2019 so it’s possible that they were released around that time. There are only five in existence. I have seen two appear on eBay auctions for very expensive prices; one for about $2,000 and another for a whopping $4,500! If you have a couple thousand to spare, then perhaps you might be able to get your hands on these limited editions. I’m not sure why these shoes were made in such limited quantities, but that makes them all the more special. There have been other Zelda themed shoes in the past (Vans had a Nintendo collection a few years ago), but these Jordans are definitely the rarest.

Custom Zelda painted sneakers have been around forever and it’s always good to support artists, but official Zelda sneakers are much more of an oddity and should be a valued treasure by any collector!

These rare Zelda sneakers feature the colors red, white, black, and gold; the same colors that represent the first Zelda game! I’ve seen these shoes have a little keychain decoration that’s either Link from Twilight Princess or a game cartridge. I’m not sure if all five pairs have both charms or if it’s one or the other.
As a Zelda collector, these Jordans are definitely on my list of items I simply need in my collection. They won’t fit my feet, but even if they did I wouldn’t wear them anyway. I would never introduce them to the outdoors once inside the confines of my house and keep them in as pristine condition as possible if I were ever lucky enough to own this pair of sneakers!
