We recently spotted an advertisement shared by retailer Zavvi UK on Instagram revealing an upcoming “Legend of Zelda: Secrets & Legends Collection.” While we’re not clear on what the collection will consist of, the product is due to release on October 28, 2020, according to the promotional image.
We’ve also found a corresponding sign-up page on Zavvi’s website for this mysterious collection.
Nothing else has been confirmed or found about this announcement beyond Zavvi’s Instagram advert and their sign-up page, which suggests that either this has leaked this early or it is an item that will be sold exclusively through Zavvi — and since the store already has an expansive selection of Zelda goodies, that latter possibility may not be all too unlikely.
As an online UK outlet of TV, films, games, geeky merchandise, and more, it makes perfect sense for some new Zelda merchandise to show up on their store. But with the details as scarce as they are along with the fact that we can’t find any further information about it on other online stores, it’s hard to say what exactly this collection is and where it will be sold.
We’ve been speculating about what it could be, though. Could it be a compilation of all three of the “Goddess Collection” books (Hyrule Historia, Art & Artifacts, and Encyclopedia)? Could it be a secret new addition to this collection, just like the elusive fourth piece of the Triforce that some Zelda theorists speculate to exist? The former seems much more likely, but who knows. Nintendo has been keeping us all on our toes this year.
Whatever it may be, if it does release at the end of October, it’s likely to make a great Christmas gift for all us Zelda fans.
