Nintendo Indie World Showcase brings another slew of interesting games to look forward to

Every so often, Nintendo pulls out one of their Showcase events to highlight some upcoming games by independent developers, and this last one has some real intriguing titles on the way. We’ll put the video here and then give a quick breakdown afterward.

Here’s a list of the games we saw:

Ooblets – A cute Animal Crossing-like where you raise adorable pets on a farm.
Batora: Lost Haven – A twin-stick action game with a mystical, sci-fi tone.
ElecHead – Follow a cute little battery robot to solve conductive electricity puzzles in this platformer made by a team of one. You can throw your head around, just like in real life! Wait…
Soundfall – A rhythm-based, top-down, shooter-looter. Genres, am I right? It’s got a slick look and a fun premise. Plus, up to 4 player co-op. It features music from indie bands, including Super Guitar Bros.
Wildfrost – Yet another rogue-like deck builder. That art is good, though!
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator – The popular game comes to Switch.
Gunbrella – From the team that made Gato Roboto (a personal fave) comes a noir-punk action platformer where your weapon is a gun and an umbrella at the same time.
We Are OFK – Feel what it’s like being in an independent band trying to make it big time in this choice-heavy narrative game from the band OFK.
Silt – A hand-drawn puzzling adventure with a monochrome art style. You can hijack local lifeforms for exploration in this Limbo-looking game.
Mini-Motorways – a stylish, minimalist sequel to Mini-Metro. This game’s out elsewhere but it’s available on Switch today!
Wayward Strand – A narrative experience where you are a young teen journalist on top of a flying hospital in an alternate 1970s Australia. The hospital’s events happen with an in-game timeframe where your choices can cause new stories to spawn.
Cult of the Lamb – Another Devolver Digital published game that takes a dark turn on your way to Animal Crossing.
Another Crab’s Treasure – An adorable ~~Soulslike~~ Shellslike where you play as a crab.
OneShot: World Machine Edition – Another port of the cult PC classic.
Gibbon: Beyond the Trees – A gorgeous and colorful monkey swinging simulator.
Idol Manager – Help an up-and-coming star make it in Japan’s entertainment scene.
Card Shark – Cheat your way to victory and learn about the history of cheating while you’re at it!
Cursed to Golf – 2-D golf with mystical properties on strange courses.
A Guidebook of Babel – A narrative puzzle game.
OPUS: Echoes of Starsong – Full Bloom Edition – I’m not sure what this is, exactly.
