ZREO is back with new music after 10 years

Many members of our community will remember ZREO (originally called Zelda Reorchestrated), one of the first prominent groups that created Zelda fan music. ZREO disbanded almost ten years ago, but today I am very excited to share that ZREO is back!

ZREO: Second Quest has partnered with ATLYS, a string quartet, to produce a new arrangement of “Hyrule Field” from Ocarina of Time.

The new ZREO Studios was established last year by music director Ari Fisher, producer and Zelda Reorchestrated Founder Samuel Ferrara, and Producer Jeron Moore, who Zelda fans will remember for his involvement in The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses.

“Hyrule Field feat. ATYLS” was created during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to travel restrictions, the music for ZREO: Second Quest is being recorded remotely, but the new work-from-home necessity has allowed ZREO Studios to partner with musicians from all around the world. ZREO’s first partner is ATLYS, but future tracks will feature many other musicians as well.

The new arrangement is available now on Bandcamp and will be available on all streaming platforms on December 24, 2021.

Update: This article has been updated to reflect that the streaming platform release has been moved to December 24, 2021.
