Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Switch Online service is getting an add-on to grant users access to Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games during their Direct presentation today. There isn’t yet a price or immediate date, but we’ll know by the end of October when the add-on launches.

Most significant to us, of course, is that Ocarina of Time will be launching with this new service, as well as many Nintendo 64 favorites like Super Mario 64, Starfox 64, Dr. Mario 64, and Sin and Punishment. The Sega set includes favorites like Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, Streets of Rage 4, and more. Other games are also being lined up at a later date, including Majora’s Mask, Paper Mario, F-Zero X, and Pokémon Snap.
As a part of this launch, there will also be new controllers available to members of the online service. That means that, yes, the tri-pronged nightmare is back and ready to use wirelessly with your Switch. Also, the Genesis controller is there too. The games will also feature the online service’s features, so now you can play online and rewind.
