With the release of Skyward Sword HD last month, many problems of the original Wii release were resolved, much to fans’ delight. However, Reddit user Sawyerqs has identified a new soft-lock glitch in the Lanayru Mining Facility that can halt players’ progress.
The glitch is reached at one point in the dungeon, where Link has to push a block to reach a higher platform. However, due to the glitch, the platform can’t be pushed due to it not fitting through the gap; this makes it so that players can’t progress through the dungeon.
Some players who’ve been unlucky enough to encounter this glitch have found they’re able to “fix” it by loading their most recent save file (making saving regularly during your time in the Lanayru Mining Facility critical), while others have not been as fortunate.
Until a patch is released, completely closing the software and making your way back to the room seems to be the best solution.
