Memories were a big theme in Breath of the Wild. Link was searching for his past, families of the Champions shared their long-held memories, and so much more. So, it only makes sense to build on that theme by remembering Zelda’s past.
YouTuber RwanLink‘s latest short film, “Memories,” pays a beautiful tribute to the history of the series while looking forward to what the future holds.
The short starts with the Breath of the Wild sequel’s Link jumping from a platform high in the sky. Rwan then treats viewers to several Skyward Sword references before Link lands in front of Zelda on another landmass. On this landing, the word “memories” really fits the theme of the short as the camera circles around Link and Zelda as they see different versions of each other throughout the games. It’s a beautifully composed shot before a slow pan to the sky, packing an emotional punch.
