Link has a new sky outfit soaring into the Breath of The Wild sequel

Link’s new sky attire during the E3 2021 trailer for the Breath of the Wild sequel is quite angelic and calls back to the old tapestry from Breath of the Wild. The sky clothing set for Link is first seen as he is falling with style from high above the ground, and the shot gives us a great look at the clothes!

The first and most noticeable feature is how Link’s hair now is untied and gorgeously blows freely in the wind. Apparently, Zelda is not the only one getting a new hairstyle this time around!  This hair design seems to be attached to the clothing since we see Link back with his normal hair during other scenes of the trailer.

Moving on from the hair, Link now has a rope going around his right shoulder and around his body, a tan tunic covering his left arm, and a green sash covering that. The tunic covers most of Link, except for his upper right arm and chest which are still visible, showing his new markings or scars. A pair of shorts are also barely visible underneath the tunic as well which is likely tied to the shoes we see Link wearing. We do not get a great look at the shoes, but they appear to be a type of sandal with ropes tied up to around Link’s knees.

Interestingly, this new look for Link might actually be around 10,000 years old. The hero on the Breath of the Wild tapestry showing the battle of 10,000 years ago, pictured below, looks a whole lot like Link in the sky outfit. Could this potentially be linking our hero back to the older one more than ever before?  Only time will tell if this is just a coincidence or something meaningful, but for now, let’s just enjoy Link in his new angelic look.
