Rozen is a composer well-known for producing quality covers of music inspired from The Legend of Zelda series. His previous works include a series of albums called the “Ballads of Hyrule.” They’re a collection of orchestral arrangements from Zelda that take you on a relaxing journey across Hyrule. The first album, simply titled “Ballads of Hyrule” was released in 2018 while the second came a few years later in 2021. Rozen goes into more detail on the theme of the first album itself.
“The spiritual antithesis to my own “Sins of Hyrule” that looks to draw you into the more contemplative side of the lands of Hyrule, saw a nocturnal walk that feeds on the gifts left by the three goddesses: Nayru, Farore and Din, captured in nature.”
Rozen’s upcoming album, Ballads of Hyrule III recently released on December 5th. It marks the next step nearly a decade in the making and will return to the roots of the original album while also expanding in new ways. The music embraces the heart of the Ballad’s sound: intricate, piano, and orchestrations that are vibrant. A variety of folk instruments including the gamelan and gong, make each piece of music timeless and otherworldly.
