The limited 3DS and Wii U Nintendo eShops in Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are shutting down on July 31, 2020.
Maxsoft, a Nintendo product distributor in various countries including Malaysia, announced the closures earlier this week in an Instagram post.

The limited Nintendo eShops provide users some basic functions, such as redeeming game download codes and updating games and other software.
The announcement marks an increase in the number of countries that will see such closures at the end of July.
In Latin America and the Caribbean, more than 40 countries and territories are also losing their limited Nintendo eShops for both the 3DS and the Wii U, as previously announced. Mexico and Brazil are not on the list of affected countries and regions.
The closures apply to the following consoles only in the announced regions: Wii U Basic, Wii U Deluxe, Nintendo 2DS, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, New Nintendo 2DS XL, New Nintendo 3DS, and New Nintendo 3DS XL.
Nintendo and Maxsoft suggest users in countries that will be affected to do the following before July 31: re-download any previously downloaded software, check the eShop for available software updates, and redeem any unused download codes. Users will not be able to access any of those services after that date.
Nintendo says the shuttering of the limited digital distribution services is due to its constant re-evaluation of the business, with the decision “based on a variety of factors.” The company has not said if it has plans to open full Nintendo eShops for any consoles in the regions affected by the closures.
There’s currently no word on if, or when, North America and Europe will see the same closures.
