Watch the first part of our Majora’s Mask 20th Anniversary Tribute series

Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask in Japan.

We dedicated the entire month of April to celebrate the occasion with columns nearly every day, a feature each week, and the premiere of a new interview series. We will continue celebrating Majora’s Mask throughout the year with additional content as we approach the North American anniversary.

But many of you knew months ago that we had a larger project planned for April, and it’s been years in the making. The first part of our next YouTube dub series, an English dub of Majora’s Mask, was released yesterday as part of the celebration. This series titled Majora’s Mask: 20th Anniversary Tribute is the work of dozens of volunteers – other Zelda fans from our wonderful community.

Alongside the video series, we have released a remastered version of the Majora’s Mask soundtrack, arranged and performed by a group of 29 fans. We released the soundtrack on YouTube last weekend ahead of the series premiere, and you can hear it throughout the video.

In addition, the video series includes remastered versions of key scenes from Majora’s Mask. The first is a reimagined version chase during the prologue, but before that scene plays listen carefully for a special guest. The narrator is voiced by Alexander D. Hall, the creator of the infamous Ben Drowned creepypasta.

The first part of Majora’s Mask 20th Anniversary Tribute can be viewed on YouTube. Additional parts will be published regularly.
