Brook, an accessory company specializing in making old controllers work on newer hardware, is putting out a dock for the Nintendo Switch that lets you use your old GameCube controllers.
The device, which launches in June 2020, has two GameCube controller ports on the front along with a couple of USB inputs. This allows the nostalgic among us to use our nearly 20-year-old GameCube controllers to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or any other Switch game. Along with the ports, the GameCube-shaped dock is fully functional, allowing the Switch to charge while you play it, and allows up to two Bluetooth headsets.
According to a hands-on from Nintendo Life, the input lag is negligible, but some odd design choices, like the start button being the home button, keep it from being a must-have device.
For those that are stuck in their ways and need to add a little (orange) spice to their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, this dock could be the one for you!
